5 answered- Does the curtain have weighted magnets or a weighted hem to keep it from blowing into the tub?
- This curtain does not come with a weighted hem or magnets. If it tends to blow into the tub, you can easily add clip-on shower curtain weights or use binder clips along the bottom edge.
- What type of holes or grommets does it have for hanging, and what size hooks are recommended?
- It has 12 reinforced metal grommets (eyelets) spaced evenly along the top, which is the standard for 71" curtains. Standard shower curtain hooks or rings with a size of about 0.5 inches in diameter will fit perfectly.
- Does the fabric have an initial chemical odor, and how long does it take to dissipate?
- The recycled polyester fabric typically has very little chemical odor compared to vinyl curtains. Any slight factory smell usually fades within a day or two of airing out. We haven't received reports of a strong or lingering odor.
- Is a separate liner necessary for this curtain, or is the waterproof coating sufficient to prevent water from reaching the floor?
- The curtain is made of waterproof recycled polyester fabric, so it can be used without a separate liner. However, using a liner can help protect the curtain from soap scum and extend its life. Either method works fine.
- What are the specific machine wash and dry instructions (water temperature, dryer setting) to avoid shrinking or damaging the fabric?
- Machine wash in cold water on a delicate cycle, and tumble dry on low heat. Do not use bleach or high heat, as that can damage the fabric. Hanging to air dry is also a good option.
