Product Insights
The Spring Cats Shower Curtain by Simons Maison at $29 CAD offers an exclusive Canadian-designed cat print in recycled polyester that cuts carbon and energy by over 50% versus virgin materials, providing opaque privacy, quick drying, fade and mold resistance, and a soft drape without needing a liner, though it pairs best with solid accessories to keep the kittens as the focus and requires separate hooks.
Verified claims
- Competitive pricing
- At $29 CAD, undercuts Target and Bridgeman curtains while using recycled polyester.
- Value
- An exclusive Simons Maison design conceived in Canada, made from 100% recycled polyester in a 71 x 71 inch (180 x 180 cm) size, that undercuts comparable virgin-polyester cat prints, so the eco-friendly design carries no price premium.
- Carbon footprint
- Recycled polyester cuts CO2 by 71% and energy by 59% vs virgin.
- Durability
- Resists fading, mold, shrinkage, and dries quickly.
- Appearance
- Opaque enough for privacy with a medium-weight drape that hangs nicely.
- Convenience
- Machine washable and dryable with a reinforced header for standard rings.
- Design origin
- Simons Maison exclusive designed in Canada.
- Fabric quality
- Durable, machine-washable fabric with a soft drape.
- Sustainability
- 100% recycled polyester cuts energy and CO₂ emissions by over 50% each compared with virgin polyester.
- Display
- Opaque medium-weight fabric hangs cleanly and displays the full print, but the curtain is not waterproof and is best used with a liner for daily use to protect the print.
- Practical performance
- Colorfast print resists fading; fabric dries fast and won't cling.
- Design uniqueness
- A boutique cat print that stands apart from mass-market abstract cat designs and reproduced artwork.
- Opacity
- The recycled polyester fabric is opaque enough for privacy in a standard shower.
- Header compatibility
- Stitched header with hanging loops fits standard shower curtain rings; hooks not included.
- Drape
- Medium-weight fabric drapes well, stays light when wet, and resists shrinkage.
- Eco-performance
- The recycled polyester medium-weight fabric drapes nicely and dries quickly, so choosing it does not force an everyday-performance trade-off.
- Water behavior
- The curtain has no water-repellent coating; it is standard recycled polyester that absorbs water during use and dries quickly.
- Print care
- Machine wash cold and tumble dry low to help the screen-printed cat design hold up without fading or peeling.
- Print motif
- The all-over print combines illustrated cats with flower motifs on an off-white background rather than a plain cat-only pattern.
- Customer feedback
- Buyers describe the printing as crisp and the colors as beautiful, with one reviewer calling the quality fantastic.
