Product Insights
This body pillow sham combines organic cotton's breathable percale weave with a pre-washed stone-wash finish for immediate softness that deepens with washing, making it hypoallergenic and gentle on sensitive skin. Its muted foliage print is designed to soften over time, while the 21-inch width accommodates both standard and overstuffed pillows without strain, and the 54-inch length creates a continuous botanical band when layered with Euro shams.
- Softness
Pre-washed stone-wash feel: matte, non-slippery, soft immediately and softens with washing.
Why this is supported
The fabric’s stone-wash texture gives it a broken-in feel from the start. One bedding enthusiast described it as

- Breathability
Natural percale weave is breathable, never clammy.
Why this is supported
The 144-thread-count percale weave is designed for breathability. According to Target, it is
. This prevents the fabric from feeling clammy against the skin.
- Hypoallergenic
Organic cotton processed without harsh chemicals, making it safer for sensitive skin.
Why this is supported
The organic cotton certification ensures fewer chemicals in processing. As noted by a source,

- Care
Machine wash cold and tumble dry low to preserve the print.
Why this is supported
The 144-thread-count organic cotton is pre-washed, stabilizing the print before use.

To preserve the print's vibrancy and fabric softness, we recommend machine washing cold and tumble drying low.
Is the foliage pattern printed or woven into the fabric? How does it hold up after repeated washing? This gentle cycle matters because the foliage pattern is applied via dye, and cold water combined with low heat maintains color density through repeated washes.
- Color fade
The foliage print's muted palette is designed to soften over time.
Why this is supported
Simons Maison describes the foliage print's aesthetic as intentionally distressed:
Nature takes over your bedroom through warm, slightly faded tones and a texture that will soften as the time goes by.
modesens.comThis brand statement confirms that any gradual lightening from washing aligns with the intended look, not wear.
- Construction
The matching back uses the same organic cotton as the front.
Why this is supported
The product description confirms that the matching back uses the same 144-thread-count organic cotton as the front, ensuring consistent care and durability across both sides.
- Size
The 21-inch wide sham fits standard and overstuffed body pillows without straining.
Why this is supported
The sham's 21-inch width exceeds the standard 20-inch body pillow size. For reference, the standard size is
Body pillow size: 20" x 54" (50 x 137 cm)
modesens.comThis one-inch advantage means the sham slips easily over dense fills without straining.
The sham's 21-inch width is one inch wider than standard body pillows (20 x 54 inches), providing extra clearance that prevents straining seams or causing wrinkles when fitted over thick pillows, thus maintaining a clean layered look.
- Skin safety
Both sides are 100% organic cotton, grown without synthetic pesticides that irritate skin.
Why this is supported

The 100% organic cotton is pre-washed so it arrives broken-in:

How 144-thread-count organic cotton feels and breathes — faded_aesthetic_matte_non_slip_handThe same fabric on both sides ensures uniform grip and even wear.
The organic cotton is pre-washed and woven at a 144-thread count, ensuring initial softness and a natural drape that avoids the stiff, papery look of new bedding. Its warm, faded matte finish prevents glare, keeping the botanical print as the focal point.
- Durability
Matching organic cotton weaves wear at the same rate and mold to the pillow without compressing.
Why this is supported
The matching back and face of the sham are both 100% organic cotton, so they wear at the same rate and won't shift or pill. With repeated washing, the fabric relaxes and conforms to the body pillow, providing consistent loft and support for side sleepers.
- Layered styling
54-inch length creates a continuous botanical band when layered with Euro shams.
Why this is supported
The sham's 54-inch length is over double a standard sham (26 inches) and one and a half times a king sham (36 inches). When arranged using the Kathy Kuo Home layered technique—Euro shams against the headboard with this sham in front—the foliage print creates a continuous botanical band across the bed, visually widening it and reducing the number of pillows compared to two standard shams.

User praises softness of Simons foliage sheet
I do like the organic cotton sheets at Simons and they come a bunch of colours ( I have the foliage sheet). They're not necessarily sateen or percale, more like a stone wash. I found them to be soft right away and I'm picky about sheets.
