Product Insights
A 15-inch seagrass tray with a scalloped edge and internal metal frame offers a durable, handcrafted look for decorative vignettes, available in unique natural color variations; however, its uneven base may cause wobble for flat items, and the natural seagrass odor can persist for over a week, while it is not food-safe and multiple trays won't match exactly.
Verified claims
- Scalloped edge
- Braided scalloped rim gives the tray a handcrafted, curated look.
- Functional use
- Scalloped edge corrals small items such as books, vases, and candles, and anchors decorative vignettes.
- Durability
- Metal frame prevents the scalloped edge from warping over time.
- Styling
- 15-inch size suits rule-of-three styling trio; scalloped seagrass design offers boho charm with natural color variation.
- Placement
- Fits coffee tables at 1/3 to 1/2 width and works on entryways, bathrooms, and decks; 2.75-inch rim and internal metal frame keep items in place and stable.
- Cleaning
- Spills bead up; clean with damp cloth or 1:3 vinegar-water.
- Handling
- Always lift from the base, not the scalloped rim.
- Odor
- Some buyers report a natural seagrass odor that can persist for several days; air the tray out before use.
- Base flatness
- Protruding seagrass fibers can make flat-bottomed items wobble.
- Intended use
- Intended for decorative use only, not for food contact.
- Care
- Avoid humidity >80%, direct sun, lift from base, clean with damp cloth.
- Versatility
- Buyers report using this tray as a centerpiece, serving tray, catchall, and organizer across every room and season.
- Construction
- A seagrass and metal frame prevents warping; natural waxy coating repels liquid for easy cleaning.
- Color variation
- Natural seagrass gives each tray unique random colour variation, with shades ranging from light to dark brown.
- Multiples
- Each tray has a distinct shade, so multiples may not match exactly.
- Food safety
- Intended for display and storage rather than direct food contact.
- Design
- Scalloped rim and 15-inch diameter match interior trends and coffee-table proportions.

Coffee table centerpiece and seasonal vignette styling
Reviewers use this seagrass tray as a coffee table centerpiece, saying the scalloped edge and warm natural tone anchor decorative vignettes without looking cluttered, even on oversized tables. Its neutral look suits everyday styling or seasonal setups like Christmas or Easter, and the lightweight build makes it easy to swap items or move it around. One reviewer noted the woven surface can sit unevenly, so flat-bottomed items like lamps may wobble unless placed on a mat.[1]
Serving drinks and snacks outdoors
Use this woven seagrass tray to carry napkins, cutlery, snacks, or drinks out to the deck or patio. Its light weight makes it easy to move around, and the wipeable surface simplifies cleanup after serving. Reviewers also note the tightly coiled construction feels sturdy enough for everyday serving or as a catchall.[1]
Nightstand catchall with natural texture
Use this scalloped seagrass tray to corral everyday clutter like glasses, a phone, or a remote on your nightstand, while its woven texture adds a decorative touch to the bedroom. Reviewers describe the tightly coiled seagrass as surprisingly sturdy for daily catchall or serving use. One reviewer noted a natural seagrass odor that can linger for over five days, especially in enclosed spaces, though airing it in a ventilated spot for about a week usually resolves it.[1]
Product comparison
Compared within this brand.
| Scalloped Seagrass Tray: Choose this if you want a large, lightweight seagrass tray (15 inches in diameter, 2.75 inches tall) as a coffee table centerpiece, seasonal decor base, or portable serving and catchall tray — reviewers say its scalloped rim and warm natural tone blend with coastal, farmhouse, and modern decor. It is woven from natural seagrass on a rigid metal structure and described as sturdy enough for daily use, with a wipeable surface. Note that its coiled base has protruding fibers that can make flat-bottomed items like lamps wobble, and a natural seagrass odor can linger for days in enclosed spaces, though airing it out usually resolves it.[1] | Embossed Edge Round Tray: Choose this if you want a retro-styled ceramic tray for holding jewellery and small everyday items. The round, shallow 8-inch (20 cm) design features a pronounced scalloped embossed rim and a smooth matte-finish well, offered in one size across Off White, Brown, and Mint/Pistachio Green color options. Care is simple—just wipe with a damp cloth as needed—though being ceramic makes it better suited to a vanity or counter than to rough handling.[2,3,4] | Water Hyacinth Rounded Wall Basket: Choose this for a natural-fibre accent that adds entryway storage for mail, toys, or gardening accessories, or for displaying dried hydrangeas, door sprays, and seasonal greenery. Its open-weave braided water hyacinth over a rigid frame, light brown tones, and hanging straps suit rustic, farmhouse, or nature-inspired decor, and reviewers report the sturdy weave holds its shape under greenery. Note that at roughly 11.75 by 9.75 by 5.5 inches it runs smaller than listing photos suggest, so measure if you need a larger piece for a spacious wall.[5,6] |

Very nice tray
Cute decor item, but also practical. Looks great on a table, but can easily be moved when the table needs to be set. Also perfect for taking napkins, cutlery, snacks, etc out to the deck.

Love the size and quality of- although slight smell - even after being out for 5 days
Super beau
Il est vraiment super, la seule chose est que le fond n’est pas 100% plat. Il y a des petits bouts de jonc qui ressortent et piquent. Pas parfait pour y mettre une lampe qui a besoin d’être vraiment à plat.
