Product Insights
Simons Maison's Extra-Large Ghost LED Light uses a weighty porcelain body that diffuses LED light into a soft, self-luminous glow, complementing its ghost motif that coordinates with matching plates and napkins, and at 29 CAD is priced near typical unlit porcelain ornaments despite including LED lighting and batteries for 10–20 hours of use, but requires indoor placement, careful dusting, distilled water cleaning, and climate-controlled storage to protect the fragile piece and ensure yearly reuse.
Verified claims
- Light diffusion
- Porcelain's matte surface diffuses the LED's warm yellow light into a soft, uniform, self-luminous ambient glow.
- Care
- Dry dust with a soft brush; for damp cleaning, use only room-temperature distilled water.
- Material
- Porcelain body feels weightier than plastic, diffuses LED light evenly, and is built for yearly reuse.
- Value
- At 29 CAD, priced near typical unlit small porcelain ornaments (~20 CAD) despite incorporating LED lighting.
- Storage
- The porcelain ghost is fragile; store in a climate-controlled indoor space to prevent temperature damage.
- Coordinating pieces
- Ghost motif repeats on Simons Maison dinner plates, cocktail napkins, placemat, garland, and small plate.
- Battery life
- This battery-operated ghost runs on three included LR44 batteries, which typically last 10–20 hours of continuous use.
- Switch
- A small slide switch on the back turns the light on and off; there is no remote or touch activation.
- Indoor use
- Strictly for indoor use; moisture damages the porcelain.
- Glow tone
- The LED produces a warm yellow, atmospheric light that works as soft evening mood lighting.
- Stability
- The solid porcelain construction gives the 7-inch ghost enough weight to stay firmly planted on a mantel or shelf, without shifting or tipping from light bumps.
- Aesthetic style
- The porcelain construction makes the ghost read more like a ceramic art object than a costume-store prop, so it can blend with modern home interiors.
- Seasonal reuse
- The porcelain body taps into the tradition of collectible holiday heirlooms, making the ghost a piece to bring out year after year rather than a single-season novelty.
- Value shelf
- This is a soft ambient Halloween tabletop ghost light in porcelain with a matte finish: the matte porcelain body diffuses the LED into an even, ambient halo rather than harsh pinpoint hotspots, and the freestanding ghost-shaped light sits on a table or shelf for Halloween decorating.
