Demi Grooved Ramp Planter
The Veradek Demi Grooved Ramp Planter is a wall-mounted planter designed for growing flowers or herbs on ramps, balconies, windowsills, or fences. It features an adjustable bracket (fits 1.5" to 5.5" wide ramps) and is made from a patented plastic-and-stone composite that resists cracking, fading, and UV damage, withstanding temperatures from -30°C to +50°C. The planter measures 36"L x 8.5"W x 8.75"H, weighs 18.4 lb, holds 36 L of soil, and includes drainage holes to prevent overwatering. It is designed and made in Canada. Note: Reddit users report that the planter becomes very heavy when filled with soil and lacks easy grip points for moving, and some Veradek models have an air gap that can crack under excessive weight; it is recommended to place it before filling and to verify suitability for the Demi model.

Product Insights
The Veradek Demi Grooved Ramp Planter (110 CAD, in stock) is a wood-free stone-plastic composite planter built for one job: hanging inward-facing off a ramp's inner face on an adjustable bracket that fits rails and caps from 1.5 to 5.5 inches wide, rounded, square or flat, from a 2×4 up to a 2×6 cap. It is mount-only, with no feet, and rated only for that inner-face position at no more than four feet off the floor. Its defining construction is a raised false shelf that keeps the base empty, cutting the potting mix it needs and keeping it lighter when wet. Appearance is architectural: soft flutes read as a column, legible as light ridges in Black and Grey and as shadowed channels in White and Ivory/Cream Beige, and this fluting is the shared signature of the Demi series, so it pairs as a matched set with other Demi pieces. Four matte tones — dark Black and Grey, light White and Ivory/Cream Beige — are coloured in the composite at the same 110 CAD. The composite resists water absorption and freeze-thaw splitting, but the same fluted channels that give the column look trap dust, pollen and water spotting, so the ribs need periodic soft wiping; that upkeep is the tradeoff for the finish effect, where pale surfaces read the flutes as soft shadow lines and dark surfaces read as a solid monolithic block.

- Bracket fit
- Bracket fits rails 1.5 to 5.5 inches wide, from a 2×4 up to a 2×6 cap
- Mount type

- Placement
- Rated for the ramp's inner face only, hung no more than four feet off the floor
- material
- Wood-free stone-plastic composite won't absorb water or split through freeze-thaw
- False shelf
- A raised false shelf keeps the base empty, so it needs less potting mix and hangs lighter when wet.
- Architectural appearance
- Soft flutes read as a column — light ridges on Black and Grey, shadowed channels on White and Ivory/Cream Beige.
- options
- Four matte tones — dark Black and Grey, light White and Ivory/Cream Beige — colour in the composite, all 110 CAD.
- Upkeep
- The fluted channels trap dust, pollen and water spotting, so they need periodic soft wiping.
- Series match
- Fluting is the shared motif of Veradek's Demi line, so this planter pairs as a matched set.
- Railing fit
- Adjustable bracket fits ramps and rails from 1.5 to 5.5 inches wide—rounded, square, or flat—and reaches from a 2×4 rail up to a standard 2×6 cap.
- Winter resistance
- Rated for -30°C to +50°C and built from solid stone-plastic composite that resists impacts and cracking, so normal freeze-thaw cycles won't damage it.
- UV resistance
- The stone-plastic composite is UV-stabilized and rated against fading and discolouration, so it holds its color in direct sun rather than chalking or bleaching out.
- Drainage
- Drainage holes let water run straight through, and no saucer or drip tray is included, so the planter drips onto whatever is below.
- Value shelf
- Classifies as a winter-ready railing planter, adjustable rail planter, and crack-resistant composite planter.

| Demi Grooved Ramp Planter: Choose this if you want a long, low-profile ramp or railing planter for hanging flowers or herbs on a window, balcony, or fence. Its included adjustable bracket fits ramps 1.5 to 5.5 inches wide (installed on the ramp's inner side, hung up to four feet from the floor for safety), and the stone-plastic composite is resistant to cracks, fading, and temperatures from -30 to +50 degrees C. One size (36 inches long, 36 L) is offered in Black, Grey, White, or Ivory/Cream Beige, but note it weighs 18.4 lb and, per one owner, gets very heavy once filled with dirt and is a bit awkward to move.[1,2,3] | Demi Span Grooved Planter: Choose this if you want a tall, ribbed planter to create privacy or define spaces on a patio or entrance: it measures 36 inches long by 10.25 inches wide by 28.25 inches high and comes in one size in Black, Grey, White, or Ivory/Cream Beige. Made in Canada from a patented concrete-plastic composite, it is rated for temperatures from -30 to +50 degrees Celsius, resists impacts, cracks, scratches, and fading, and includes a removable inner shelf plus drainage holes with removable plugs. Note that one owner reports it gets very heavy when filled with dirt and has no good grip for moving, so place it where it will stay before filling.[3,4] | Grooved Minimalist Planter See Available Sizes: Choose this if you want a lightweight, easy-to-move planter that still gives a stone-like look: it is a cylindrical pot with vertical grooves and a matte finish, made in Canada from impact- and scratch-resistant stone-plastic composite with drainage holes for indoor or outdoor use. It comes in two sizes—a 15 inch diameter by 16 inch height model holding up to 36 litres of soil, and an 18.5 inch diameter by 19.75 inch height model holding up to 74 litres—in Black, Grey, White, or Ivory/Cream Beige. Note that its all-season temperature tolerance of -20 to 120 degrees Celsius is stated as a design intent, and the year-round durability claim comes from the retailer's description rather than reported customer experience.[5,6] |

First-hand experience with the shelf, weight, and overall satisfaction
I have this exact planter. That is a shelf and it’s meant to stay under the dirt so that water can flow downward and not cause rot. I honestly don’t think you need to remove it. The shelves in mine did seem to come out easily if I remember correctly, but again, I’m not sure you should need to remove it. One tip for you… Those planters get very heavy when they’re full of dirt. You may want to put it on a coaster with wheels, or move the planter to where it’ll stay before you fill it with dirt. There’s also no good place to grab onto the planter to move it so it’s a little awkward. I do love these planters though. I have 10 I think.

Durability concern with Veradek Block planter and applicability to Demi
I can’t comment on the Demi, but I have a long Block planter and I would veto it. It looks really nice, but the construction has a weak point in that there is actually an air gap between the container that holds the soil and the outside of the box. When the soil gets too heavy, the seams can crack and you can’t really fix it. There are some pictures of this in the Amazon reviews.
