Repairability and sound quality
mine died a few years ago. I'm handy and took it apart to see if I could find and replace some obviously-burned-out component. I couldn't find anything wrong, but Tivoli was able to repair it at nominal cost.

Comparison to Bose Wave Radio
I've heard the Tivoli Model One and both the original Wave Radio I and the newer Wave radios and I can say, the newer Wave Radio is the one to get out of the three if we limit ourselves to those three choices. The comparison is apples to oranges though because the Tivoli Model One is monophonic and the Wave Radio is stereo.

Using as a simple radio with aux input
Ah yes, I avoided the bluetooth version. I wanted something for radio more than anything else, but this has aux in still. Sounds decent, and nice to turn on during dishes or with coffee/tea in the morning.

Great sounding and durable for the price
Tivoli makes great sounding simple gear, musical. Agree that they're pricey when new but they are very well made, durable and a bargain for casual background listening. I picked up a Model One for ~ $40 and use it everyday when I WFH.
