Product Insights
Floraison is a midcentury modern wall art piece co-created with Montreal design studio Atelier Dansereau, part of a five-print coordinated collection for gallery walls. At $113 CAD, it offers designer-curated, locally produced art from Quebec, available in five sizes from 12x16 to 36x48 with a consistent pine frame, signature molding, and polyester canvas. The tradeoff is its decorative polyester canvas, standard for wall art but not fine art, and the coordinated set is designed for cohesive gallery walls.
Verified claims
- Design collaboration
- Co-created with Atelier Dansereau, a Montreal interior design studio featured in Index Design and Les Idées de ma Maison and design partner for the TV series Les Morin-Perras sous le même toit.
- Design concept
- Midcentury modern design part of a coordinated five-print collection for gallery walls.
- Materials
- Pine frame with Atelier Dansereau signature molding, polyester canvas, and metal wire.
- Size options
- Same design available in five sizes from 12x16 to 36x48 for flexible placement.
- Midcentury aesthetic
- Floraison pairs a midcentury modern aesthetic and retro graphic floral design with muted earth tones—ochre, rust, and olive—on a dark background for a serene, natural mood.
- Frame
- The included Atelier Dansereau signature molding is a visible frame that covers the canvas edges, and the piece arrives ready to hang with the included hardware.
- Value and origin
- At $113 CAD, it offers designer-curated art with Quebec production.
- Material purpose
- Polyester canvas is decorative wall art standard, not fine art.
- Width proportion
- 36x48 fits king beds (63% width) and dining tables (67% of 72 in); 30x40 fits queen beds (67% width).
- Hanging height
- Hang canvas centered at 57–60 inches from floor, with 6–8 inches above headboard.
- Size range
- Five sizes—12x16, 18x24, 24x32, 30x40, and 36x48—start at CA$113 and allow gallery clusters with the smallest and large statement pieces with the largest; the price rises with the larger sizes.
- Cost transparency
- Ships from a Canadian supplier, so Canadian buyers avoid cross-border duties and brokerage fees, and the listed price is closer to the actual total cost.
- Local production
- Designed in Quebec by a local artist; OLEKA CANVAS is a Quebec brand and the design is locally produced art from Quebec.
- Installation
- Ready to hang: ships with a pre-attached metal hanging wire, nail-hook kit, and a pine frame with Atelier Dansereau signature molding that covers the canvas sides.
- Option clarity
- The Assorted option likely refers to size selection (12x16 to 36x48), not color scheme; there is no indication of different color schemes.
- Artwork type
- Floraison is a high-quality giclée canvas print, not an original hand-painted painting; it is printed in high definition with water-based inks on polyester canvas.
- Frame finish
- The included frame is available in Walnut Brown, white, black, brown oak, and natural-light wood moldings.
- Hanging wire weight capacity
- The hanging wire's weight capacity is not specified, but it is designed to securely support the canvas.
- Coordinated collection pieces
- Floraison is one of five coordinated designs—alongside Organique, Crevasse, Traits, and Émotions—so buyers can build a cohesive gallery wall from the same Atelier Dansereau collection.
- Color accuracy
- Printed colors typically read slightly darker and more muted than the on-screen preview, with a warmer, softer tone than a backlit monitor; the piece is built on earthy hues with pops of purple, and a 4×6 sample can be ordered for $4.99 with the cost credited toward purchase.
- Panel construction
- Every size, including the largest 36x48, ships as a single stretched canvas panel rather than a multi-panel split; the brand confirms canvases measure exactly as listed including the frame.
- Humidity suitability
- The polyester canvas is moisture-tolerant, but the pine frame can warp in a consistently steamy bathroom; the piece is not recommended for humid rooms, though good ventilation and distance from the shower reduce the risk if placed near moisture.
