Product Insights
The Moonrise Milky Way Art Print, an open-edition collaboration between Simons Maison and OLEKA CANVAS with artist Mirae Campbell, offers a calming dusk scene in a cool 'Assorted Blue' palette (navy, charcoal, pink) sized to fit specific spaces (12×16 for hallways, 18×24 for desks, 36×48 for sofas) using a 3:4 ratio for greater vertical presence than typical 2:3 prints. Priced at $128 CAD—$41 below a similar gallery wrap and within $5 of a custom canvas—it is exclusive to Simons and manufactured in Quebec since 2019, with each print funding a tree (5,000+ trees via Ecologi). The tradeoff: while light stains can be cleaned with a damp cloth, heavy stains require professional care, and the open-edition nature means it is not a limited or numbered collectible.
Verified claims
- Edition and curation
- Open-edition collaboration print selected to match current interior trends.
- Value
- Priced $41 below a similar gallery wrap and within $5 of a custom canvas.
- Options
- Color 'Assorted Blue' describes the dusk palette; sizes are curated for sofa/hallway widths and all have 3:4 ratio.
- Room fit
- Among the available sizes, 12×16 works for narrow hallways under 36 inches wide, 18×24 works above a desk or dresser, and 36×48 fits a 72-inch sofa using the two-thirds rule; all sizes keep a 3:4 aspect ratio.
- Hanging height
- Hang the print so its center is 57–60 inches from the floor; for a 30×40 above a typical sofa back, this keeps the bottom edge roughly 6–10 inches above the furniture.
- Aspect ratio
- All sizes use a 3:4 aspect ratio for more vertical wall presence than 2:3 prints.
- Price comparison
- At $128, saves $41 over Printxpert and within $5 of Posterjack's sale price.
- Care
- Light stains clean with damp cloth; heavy stains require professional art cleaner.
- Tree planting
- Tree planted for each print; Ecologi account records 5,000 trees.
- Domestic production
- Designed and made in Canada; canvases are manufactured in Quebec since 2019, reducing transport-related lead times and carbon footprint.
- Origin
- Made in Quebec since 2019 through a Simons Maison–OLEKA collaboration.
- Color palette
- Assorted Blue refers to the print's dominant cool dusk palette, not the frame; the artwork's blue hue comes from the snow-capped mountain under a rising moon, with pink-orange alpenglow under a deep blue sky.
- Atmosphere
- The moonlit mountain scene is peaceful, serene, and natural, giving it a calm, contemporary nature-wall-art feel that suits bedrooms and nature-inspired rooms.
- Edition type
- Open edition print, not limited or numbered.
- Exclusivity
- Exclusive to Simons as an open-edition collaboration print.
- Design
- Blue dusk palette curated for Scandinavian and Japandi trends, with size guidance for each option.
