Long-term owner review: great for small rooms, not worth full price
I have Mania opera de Paris for like 3 years now. ( I wanted the best, bass heavy, luxury small portable speaker). Firstly, it's not party speaker. It doesn't fill bigger rooms and for outside use, it's unusable. In small room, on the table where people sit around you, it blow everyones mind. Sound is excellent, bass very punchy but still soft...that's the exact use of this speaker.. indoor, smaller room use when you want to speak with other people but still have high quality music as backround. It can shock people like " wow this is coming from this small speaker?!" But only indoors as i said. Compared to boombox, ( which is like 2x the size), boombox is more party speaker. Louder, usable outdoors, but the sound quality is definitely worse than mania. Is it the best portable speaker you can buy ? Definitely not. Is it worth the money ? Hell no. It should cost 50% the price. But it delivers the punch, sound quality, portability and 360° in very small body.

3-month owner: amazing bass but disappointing battery life
I have one for 3 months, and quite like it. The bass is amazing, as everyone says, the only downside is the battery life. Usually around 4 hours at moderate volume. Since most of its weight is probably from the woofers, I really wouldn't mind a bigger battery and a bit heavier speaker.

Clarification on 30Hz bass spec vs competitors
Devialet goes to 30hz yes since its particular design, Tribit goes down to 50 as manual states (40 is an exaggeration unless actually it is a rattling instead a true bass), those measurements are generally done at -6db input

I have lot of speakers and also tried a lot, i have tested a few times those speakers and like them, but for me they are overpriced. Phantom is not portable, i think It doesnt have battery, the Mania sounds really good for me, very balanced and bassy but its not too loud.

Paper spec comparison with Tribit Stormbox Blast
Just reading the specs on both websites, the Mania puts out 176W of total power, compared to the 90W of the Blast (almost double), and the Mania gets down to 30Hz, but the Blast only gets down to 50Hz (not even listed on their website). The Mania outputs 95dB at 1m. The Blast again doesn't even list its output level.
