Product Insights
The Colourful Heart Silicone Mini Spatula from Simons Maison is an inexpensive $7.50 CAD tool that combines a cheerful heart design with a mini size for precise small-batch mixing and kid-friendly use. Its core promise is utility in decorating workflows—buyers often purchase four to switch frosting colors without washing—and its natural wood handle adds a warm tactile feel. The main tradeoff is that the hand-wash-only wood handle requires immediate drying and periodic oiling to avoid splintering in the dishwasher.

- BPA/phthalate status
- The listing does not explicitly state BPA-free or phthalate-free, but food-grade silicone is typically made without these chemicals.
- Staining
- Food-grade silicone can pick up some colour from heavily pigmented foods like turmeric, tomato, and curry, and the light tones of this spatula show staining more readily; marks usually fade with repeated use and washing, and a baking-soda soak helps lift stubborn stains.

The six pieces cover basics like spatulas, slotted spoons, a whisk, a perforated skimmer, and a ladle, each with hanging holes for storage.
