Product Insights
The Small Cherries Vinyl Placemats Set Of 2 from Simons Maison offer a practical solution for everyday table protection: their polypropylene top and EVA backing cushion dishes, dampen noise, prevent scratches, and resist stains from spills like coffee or wine. The cherry print stays vibrant for years with gentle care—wipe clean with a damp cloth, as machine washing or harsh scrubbing can damage the design. However, the EVA backing softens under high heat, requiring a trivet for very hot dishes, and the grip is adequate on most surfaces but not non-slip on highly polished or slanted tables. Odor-free and ready to use, these placemats fold without creasing, lie flat, and are recyclable as #5 polypropylene after the print fades.

- Heat sensitivity
- EVA backing may soften under high heat; use a trivet for hot dishes.

- Stain resistance
- Non-porous surface resists penetration of coffee, wine, and condensation.
- Acid resistance
- The polypropylene surface resists etching from common acidic foods such as lemon juice, vinegar, and tomato sauce.
- Print construction
- The cherry pattern is printed on the surface of the polypropylene top rather than embedded in the material.
- Cushioning
- The EVA padded backing adds a layer of cushioning that makes the table surface feel softer under plates and arms.
