You probably got one of their lightweight tshirts, they can be pretty thin but they’re built for heat dispersion. They have lots of heavyweight tshirts and all cotton shirts. Look for the original fit, not the force category shirts.

I'm so happy to have found this while looking into the issue because I have done the exact same thing with a scale. The new batch of tshirts I just bought are substantially lighter, made with less material. The new ones were made in vietnam as opposed to the last batch in Guatemala.

Quality differences by country for K87 pocket t-shirts
In general Mexico is best after america. After that it's pretty random. I avoid any from places I only know about from genocide documentaries. North Africa does surprisingly well tho. India and China are usually the lowest quality for shirts but India does decent on jackets.

Carhartt t-shirt length and tucking benefit
Totally intentional design but only really comes into play if you tuck in your shirt. I actually like the fact that they are longer. I tuck in my t-shirts so when I bend over, they stay tucked in so no unintentional display of ass crack.
