  • Durable wool suits with long-lasting quality

Not many suits are wool anymore and Theory is so that’s why I like them. Also, men’s suit pants aren’t usually lined because it makes for a nicer break and wool breathes. Lining is usually polyester so you’d lose the benefit of a natural fiber and they won’t drape as nicely. The suits wear well and are incredibly long lasting - some of my blazers are ten years old. They’re held up better than any other suits I’ve purchased.

  • Theory pants pocket outline visible

I took a picture when I tried them on - the outline of the pocket was very visible. Maybe I was just in between sizes but if I sized up the pants were too big in the waist and legs.

  • Theory suit sales and quality tradeoff

Often they have sales on suits ($250 jacket and $100 pants). I don’t think the quality is as good as their more expensive suits. It’s more like what brands have been doing at outlets. But I like their modern cuts and I only need to do very minimum tailoring, so it’s worth it for me.
