I also own Sunspel pique polos that I got at a sample sale in London for 35£, the pique fabric is much thinner than your standard polos, so they are good for summer. But they also fade quite fast.

Pique Polo shrinkage and fraying complaints
I really like the Pique Polo, BUT shrank like a mofo. Initiially I line dried the shirt, however while the shirt shrinks minimally it made the polo feel quite scratchy. This was line dried outside in the sun. Drying it slowly indoors may resolve this, who knows. Low temp drying resolved the scratchiness, but shrunk the shirt more. The medium became a belly shirt if I lifted my arms at all. Definitely upsize. This was not the case on the Riviera. That said I am in the process of rebuying the Pique in a large during the Black Friday sale. One other note on the Pique Polo. After two months of wear, maybe 6-8 times total at most, the seam at the bottom hem on the inside is LOADED with loose frayed threads. I mean ridiculously so. Now, whether this is just a case of poor finishing and quality control, or something that will lead to the hem seperating remains to be seen.
