Product Insights
The Nike Air Force 1 '07 Ochre-Accent is a heritage basketball sneaker that debuted in 1982 as the first shoe with encapsulated Air, evolving into a hip-hop and fashion icon; the 2007 remaster delivers a sleeker silhouette with a reshaped last, reduced collar padding, metal deubré, and tighter stitching. Its full genuine suede upper offers deeper color and a unique nap patina that hides creases, eliminates break-in, but demands regular protective care and cannot be soaked. The herringbone outsole provides reliable wet grip via the original pivot point, yet buyers report outsole holes and squeaks after a year of daily use and find the shoes uncomfortable for long periods. Sizing down half a size controls creasing, and sneaker shields can further help—but the tradeoff is a style-first icon that sacrifices all-day comfort and long-term durability for its immediate pliability and evolving appearance.

User complains about declining quality control and immediate creasing
Quality control on these r now horrendous, bought a new pair from footlocker and used it lights and it already creased, for quality to objectively become worse while they up the price on it is just crazy

User finds AF1 comfort very average and prefers Asics and Adidas
I wonder how air jordans and nike is so hyped when the comfort is very average in most of their sneakers. I feel asics is insane in terms of comfort, my japan s is just next level can wear all day long no issues at all. I have nike sports shoes but found my adidas cheaper and much more comfortable than nike

User places AF1 among classic sneakers and calls it a fail-safe
Adidas have the Samba. Converse have the Chuck Taylor. Puma has the suade. Vans have the Old Skool. Timberland has the 6". Nike have the AF1. They might dip in popularity from time to time but they'll always come back round, and are a solid fail-safe to have.

User describes how AF1s wore out daily, then got repurposed for dirty work
I used them every day. The ones with holes in the soles were used for about a year around 2023. Then I bought a pair that had been used for 6 months, but I couldn’t deal with the squishy sound they constantly made. I decided to switch shoes and changed to Vans, which I’ve been using since then. They are very well built, with no strange sounds or damage. I keep AF1 for dirty work, like gardening and yard work.

Advice to go half size down to prevent immediate creasing
If your AF1s creased after one wear you got too big of a size. You gotta go a half size down and they won’t crease that badly.
