Product Insights

The Polo Ralph Lauren Heritage Court II White Sneakers present a classic style that looks classy for the first year, but comfort and durability are major drawbacks: buyers report very poor comfort, the sole detaches within months, the corrected-grain leather upper separates from the sole after about a year, and the $150 CAD price is not justified given alternatives offer better durability. The shoes fit true to size and width, though stock laces are too long, and 83% of reviewers note moderate arch support.

Arch support

83% of reviewers report moderate arch support.

Why this is supported

Zappos reviews show that

is reported by 83% of reviewers, indicating a balanced contour suitable for casual wear.

Comfort

Buyers report very poor comfort and disappointing underfoot feel.

Why this is supported

Reddit users report very poor comfort. One user described the shoe as

Sole attachment

Buyers report sole detaching within months; regluing deforms sole.

Why this is supported

fell apart in 2 monthsu/suunsbro in r/malefashionadvice

. Another user notes

I was able to fix it a couple times with some shoe glueu/[deleted] in r/mensfashion

, but repeated regluing causes the sole to become deformed:

the sides of the sole started looking all wonky from being reglued so many timesu/[deleted] in r/mensfashion

. This indicates a persistent design weakness.

Value

Buyers say $150 CAD not justified; alternatives offer better durability.

Why this is supported

At a price of $150 CAD, buyers report the shoe is not worth it. One buyer states,

Full price is too much money and not worth itu/[deleted] in r/mensfashion

. The same user indicates the shoe is only acceptable when bought at half price. In comparison, other sneakers at similar cost are recommended for superior durability:

. This suggests the Heritage Court II offers poor value relative to alternatives.

Leather grade

Upper is leather (corrected-grain, not full-grain).

Why this is supported

Brand Q&A explains that 'genuine leather' is a broad term typically referring to

corrected-grain leatherIs the leather upper full-grain or corrected-grain leather?

, a lower grade. User reviews confirm the poor quality, reporting that the leather

feels utter crapu/Striking_Stuff_9809 in r/malefashionadvice

Lace length

Stock 60-inch laces are too long; swap to 48 inches for a cleaner presentation

  • Detailed experience with RL sneakers' poor durability

I had the brown versions like 5 or 6 years ago, so they could’ve changed construction a bit but I doubt it. Pros: I only paid $60USD (50% off, I think it was at Kohls) on sale and I consider that not a bad price for the 2 years I got out of them. Full price is too much money and not worth it. They looked quite classy for the first like year. Cons: the quality was not that great. The sole kept coming unglued from the upper after about a year of wearing them. I was able to fix it a couple times with some shoe glue, but eventually I got fed up with it constantly happening and the sides of the sole started looking all wonky from being reglued so many times so I tossed them.

  • User calls RL sneakers garbage and suggests alternatives

All Ralph Lauren sneakers are garbage as far as quality goes. I bought a pair on clearance this summer and it fell apart in 2 months. I'm fairly sure that I'm not the only one who's had a similar experience on this forum. If you want affordable white sneakers, just get meme smiths, jack purcell's or new balance's. Since when are white sneakers black exclusive ? Am I missing something ?
