Positive firsthand experience with the Columbia Hikebound rain jacket in Iceland
I bought and used this jacket last year when I visited in October (link below). It was perfect for what I needed as it wasn’t super cold in Iceland yet. When needed I just layered underneath. As far as the waterproof goes, no water got in the jacket even when I went behind Seljalandsfoss and up close to Skogafoss.
