This is an oddly-proportioned robe. It is, at once, too big and too small. The sleeves are too long and it belts around the rib cage instead of the waist. It also doesn't wrap around if you are seated so you wind up exposing yourself. I wish I hadn't washed it or it would definitely return it.

The variety that online shopping has given us access to, has made shopping for the simplest of things become as much of a chore as it is a fun pass time. At least for me it has. There are certain things i want to be certain that I’ve made the right choice so I don’t have to purchase it multiple times before getting it right or having to go through the trouble of returning things. To some buying a bathrobe would be a simple click and add to cart. For me, it was 2 weeks before I committed to the bathrobe of choice, after researching the best material, and what makes it such, as well as what to consider when purchasing a bathrobe that suits your desires. I’ve never actually owned a bathrobe as an adult and never really desired to have one until I purchased a hot tub. After perusing reviews and comparing robes on others sites and the factors to look for and what would suit my needs. I added this to my cart, not once, but twice within a matter of weeks (for me S/M 5’8”, 185 lbs) because once it arrived my partner had to have one in place is his tired little fleece number (L/XL, 6’, 215 lbs). We love them!! The hood and the length make it ideal for winter robe going from the house to the hot tub and the pockets are just an added touch of convenience. The weight of this alone just screams “eat your heart out” to the ones most of us love at Nordic spas. You won’t be disappointed purchasing this. After washing it, it’s like taking a memory foam mattress out of its compact shipping packaging and it just plumps up in size, as does this robe. It’s luxurious, warm and cozy and practical and the right choice for anyone looking for that high end spa feel in a robe and if you catch it on sale as i did, you may want to consider buying more than one as a gift if there’s anyone in your life who loves wearing a bathrobe. They will think you’ve gone way over budget

Décembre 1999, j’ai acheté un peignoir chez Simons pour mon conjoint qu’il a porté quotidiennement jusqu’à ce jour. En ce mois de décembre 2022, je lui ai offert ce beau peignoir marine. Got it for my partner for his birthday. He lives in it now although initially he didn’t love the rough texture of the robe. However, if you have cats, I’d go with a softer pile as the pile has come a bit undone just from cat biscuits over the last 2 weeks. I’m sure it’ll happen more and more as it goes into the wash cycles. So for that reason, I give it 3 stars.
Extra long hooded robe.
My husband is impressed with the warmth of the robe, the extra length and the hood. He’s also getting a kick out of looking like Emperor Palpatine from Star Wars when his hood is up 😋 my only suggestion is if there is a way to make the robe a tad thicker. The thickness is acceptable though since you don’t want it too hot during the summer. It fits him well, thank you!
