Embossed Flowers Doormat 40 X 70 Cm
This Embossed Flowers Doormat is a rectangular coir (coconut fiber) doormat with a non-slip PVC backing, designed in Canada as a Simons Maison exclusive. Its surface features an embossed, repeating five-petal flower pattern that provides texture for scraping dirt from shoes. Measuring 40 x 70 cm (16 x 27 inches), it is intended for outdoor or sheltered entryway use, should be kept protected from harsh weather, and cleans easily with a damp cloth. Light fiber shedding is normal over time.

Product Insights
The Simons Maison Embossed Flowers Doormat is a coir mat with an embossed floral pattern that scrubs dirt effectively and adds tactile depth, backed by PVC to reduce shedding. Its core promise is long-lasting durability (4+ years) on a covered porch, away from rain and direct sun, which otherwise cause brittleness and fading. The main tradeoff is the demanding care: machine washing causes fraying and shedding, so only damp-cloth or gentle-vacuum cleaning is recommended; moreover, the PVC backing can permanently damage polyurethane-finished floors and reduces slip resistance on wet surfaces. At $18 CAD, it costs significantly less than similar coir mats but sacrifices ease of maintenance and floor compatibility.
Verified claims
- Price comparison
- At $12.99, it costs 63% less than LUA VIKA's similar coir mat.
- Washing
- A buyer reports that machine washing caused the mat to fray badly.
- Shedding
- Heaviest shedding occurs in the first 4-8 weeks and is normal.
- Backing
- PVC backing locks fibers in place, significantly reducing shedding.
- Pattern
- The raised floral pattern is formed by the coir fibers themselves, so it won't peel like a printed design; direct sunlight can fade it.
- Cleaning
- For cleaning, use gentle vacuuming with a soft brush or a damp cloth; avoid machine washing and soaking.
- Floor damage
- PVC backing can permanently yellow polyurethane-finished floors and fuse to vinyl.
- Wet traction
- PVC backing reduces slip resistance on wet surfaces compared to rubber.
- Slip resistance
- Less slip resistant than rubber; best used on dry, level floors.
- Lifespan
- Sheltered from persistent moisture and direct sunlight, the mat lasts 4+ years on a covered porch.
- Placement
- Use under a covered porch for best longevity; avoid direct sun and rain.
- Sunlight damage
- Direct sunlight causes coir to become brittle and fades the embossed design.
- Scrubbing
- The embossed flower pattern scrubs dirt from shoe soles as effectively as a plain coir mat.
- Spring accent
- A buyer reports the mat creates a cute, guaranteed spring effect.
- Embossed design
- The exclusive coir embossing actively scrubs dirt and adds tactile floral depth.
- Floor compatibility
- The non-slip PVC backing is designed to grip smooth surfaces like hardwood and tile, though performance can vary by floor finish; test on a small area first.
- Shedding reduction
- The non-slip PVC backing locks the coconut fibers in a rigid, upright position, significantly reducing fiber loss compared to an unbacked woven coir mat and helping the design stay crisp.

Refreshing your entryway for spring
Shoppers use this embossed floral doormat as seasonal door décor to give an entryway a fresh spring update. Reviewers describe the flower design as cheerful and cute, with one calling it an assured spring effect. At 40 by 70 cm, it fits standard door areas as a small accent rug.[1]
A decorative everyday doormat for a covered entry
This embossed coconut-fibre doormat suits a light-use, low-soil entryway, with a non-slip PVC backing to keep it in place and a surface that wipes clean with a damp cloth. Reviewers who needed mainly a pretty mat and stuck to spot cleaning found it durable, but the fibres fray when machine washed or with heavy wear, and some unravelling over time is normal. Keeping it sheltered from bad weather helps prolong its life.[1]
Product comparison

| Embossed Flowers Doormat 40 X 70 Cm: Choose this if you want a cheerful spring refresh for your entryway: this sand-colored mat has playfully textured, embossed five-petal flowers pressed into natural coir, with a non-slip PVC backing, at a 16 by 27 inch (40 x 70 cm) size. It wipes clean easily with a damp cloth, and reviewers found it holds up well under normal use when dry cleaned or spot cleaned only. Note that machine washing or heavy wear causes the fibers to fray quickly, so it suits light-use homes willing to stick to spot cleaning, and the retailer advises keeping it sheltered from bad weather.[1,2,3] | Embossed Oval Doormat 40 X 70 Cm: Choose this if you want a classic oval doormat with a textured, embossed pattern in brown, sized 16 by 27 inches (40 x 70 cm). Its front is 100% coir fibre with a non-slip PVC backing, and it easily wipes clean with a damp cloth. Note that it should be kept sheltered from bad weather to prolong its life, and a light unravelling of the fibres over time is normal.[4] | Colourful Birds Doormat 40 X 70 Cm: Choose this for seasonal spring/summer entryway decor: a cheerful, multicolored bird print on a coarse 100% coir face with a non-slip PVC backing, sized 40 x 70 cm (about 16 by 27 inches), that wipes clean with a damp cloth and that reviewers say matches the photos and adds curb appeal. Note it should be kept sheltered from bad weather, some light fiber unravelling is expected over time, and build quality has been inconsistent across units. One reviewer reported peripheral discoloration on light-colored surfaces like patio stones, so it's safer on darker or sealed floors and best tested in an inconspicuous spot first.[5] |
