Product Insights
The Camina Ancient Medallions Vinyl Rug by Adama delivers a low-profile, robot-vacuum-friendly floor covering with a 2.2mm thickness that clears standard doors and a non-slip backing that reduces edge wear and furniture scuffs, but the vinyl pattern is vulnerable to wear in high-traffic areas, temporary indentations from heavy furniture (with partial recovery only, especially from narrow legs), and significant fading within a season or two when exposed to direct sunlight, making it a practical choice for shaded indoor use where easy cleaning and spill resistance are prioritized over long-term pattern preservation.
Verified claims
- Door clearance
- At 2.2mm with integrated backing, it fits under standard interior doors without a separate pad.
- Robot vacuum compatibility
- Compatible with most common robot vacuums.
- Wear and indentation
- Pattern wears in high-traffic zones and may show temporary indentations from heavy furniture.
- Sunlight fading
- Pattern fades within a season or two if exposed to direct sunlight.
- Cleaning
- Withstands robot vacuum cleaning and is waterproof, but avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Edge and backing
- Non-slip backing and low profile reduce edge wear from sliding and door contact.
- Odor
- New rug odor dissipates in days to a week when aired.
- Spill care
- The waterproof PVC surface keeps spills from soaking in, so they can be wiped away without penetrating the printed design.
- Dent recovery
- Heavy furniture can leave indentations; they often recover over time if furniture is moved occasionally, but lasting dents are possible.
- Coaster use
- Furniture coasters strongly recommended to minimize lasting dents.
- Non-slip benefit
- Non-slip backing helps prevent scuffs when shifting furniture.
- UV sensitivity
- Pattern fades in direct sunlight; use in shaded outdoor areas only.
- Water and stain resistance
- The rug's 85% PVC core makes the surface inherently waterproof and stain-resistant, so spills and tracked-in dirt won't penetrate the printed design.
- Flat lay
- The PVC-polyester construction is designed to unroll flat and stay flat without edge curling, so the rug won't catch under a door swing or bunch at thresholds.

Grounding a shaded patio or balcony
This vinyl rug works for outdoor spaces that stay out of direct sunlight, such as a covered patio, since it's waterproof and stain resistant for outdoor living. It unrolls flat without curling at the edges and can be cleaned with most common robot vacuum cleaners (avoid abrasive products). Keep it placed away from direct sun exposure.[1,2,3]
Under the dining table, with chairs that keep moving
Lay this 170 x 240 cm vinyl rug under a dining set, as shown in the product's lifestyle scene with a wooden table and cane-back chairs on top. Its thin profile is designed not to interfere with moving chairs or opening doors, and the anti-slip backing helps it stay put. It's stain resistant, can be cleaned with most common robot vacuum cleaners, and unrolls flat without curling at the edges — just avoid abrasive cleaning products.[1,2,4,5]

Its low profile (about 2.2 mm thick, with a plus or minus 0.2 mm tolerance) is thin enough not to interfere with doors or chairs, it unrolls flat with a safe non-slip backing, and it measures 170 x 240 cm (67 x 94.5 inches) in the Patterned Brown colorway. It suits shoppers drawn to the merchant-described botanical pattern inspired by William Morris in the Patterned Green colorway, which the merchant says fits both classical and contemporary settings. Note that this is a flat vinyl rug, so its surface is a smooth printed finish rather than a textured pile.[8,9,10] |
