It didn’t come in suede so I went with what you see. And now I am indeed considering getting the suede 40 I initially liked. I imagine it will still be pretty large and fit a normal laptop.

    Suede care is actually pretty straightforward once you own a set of the right products. Buy a suede brush - one with brass bristles in the centre and carefully fluff up the flat spots (too aggressive, and some of the fibres will be ripped off and the nap will be lost). Get some suede shampoo and spot treat the dirty areas (don't soak it, although you can if you want to go nuclear, just dab to make drying easier).
