I’ve been buying the ‘47 Franchise hats for a long time, probably have over 100 of them. Love the fit of the older ones for some reason. The ‘47 cleanup seems deeper than the 9twenty to me. I’ve been buying more 9twenty lately due to that. Wonder if we will see crossover with New Era buying ‘47.

Positive review of 9Twenty fit and back closure design
FWIW, I bought one and it fits great; my fitted size is a 7 - 7 1/8. Shallow compared to these new 47 clean ups and the cotton doesn’t wrinkle nearly as easily. Also one of my biggest issues with adjustable caps is the amount of extra space in the back after tightening it to my size that leaves a kind of “tail”; the 9twenty is much more flush to the back of my head when tightened so it looks cleaner from the sides and back too. I’m actually looking to replace my 47s with 9twentys.
