Stranded colorwork fabric is significantly less stretchy than single-color due to the floats, which makes negative-ease items much trickier to execute successfully. You either need to really loosen up your floats to regain some elasticity, or increase the size / reduce the negative ease so the fabric doesn’t need as much elasticity.

Ngl, I make a LOT of colorwork socks but for some reason I never got in the flow for this charting so wasn't my favorite process knit. BUT I love the outcome!
