Recycled leather feels fake and may peel
I was able to check out the Ganni bou in store and the recycled leather feels very fake. Someone else on this sub also complained about their bag peeling. It’s a shame because this is such a cute bag!

Detailed material composition reveals mostly plastic
It's made with 65% recycled leather, 19% PU and 16% polyester, so it's essentially one-third plastic. At that price point, you can get much better quality from Coach, Furla or Coccinelle.

Recycled leather not truly sustainable or durable
Recycled leather isn’t really eco friendly or sustainable like some companies are advertising it as. Its leather scraps ground up and bonded with PU, with a PU top layer/embossed grain. It won’t wear as quickly/badly as PU - but won’t wear like leather.
