In 1945, Pierre Balmain opened his Parisian house with a signature style that was boldly feminine, elegant, and fearless, making it a favourite among numerous celebrities like Ava Gardner, Brigitte Bardot, and Audrey Hepburn. When Pierre Balmain passed away in 1982, a series of veteran designers took the reins, always respecting the traditions of the house. Since 2011, Olivier Rousteing has imposed a singular silhouette and modern outlook that reflects the young men and women of his own generation.
