Recurring top handle breakage on T-Lock bag
I had the same problem on my large black and gold T-Lock bag and I’ve seen other people post about it in Facebook groups. It’s unfortunately a recurring issue. When my short handle came apart I was able to fix it using a small screwdriver to screw it back into place. It’s held together since then but I’m still annoyed by it and I’m always a little bit wary when my bag is fully loaded 🥲 Was also not at all impressed with their customer service when I stopped by the boutique and asked them if they could fix the bag for me and they insisted that I bring in my receipt. Like who do they think they are? Chanel?? Why can’t they stand by their (shitty) product!?

Toteme T-Lock quality deemed worst among competitors in-store
So this! I had toteme T lock on my wishlist for the past few years. I was able to check it out in a retail store and see the quality side by side with givenchy, the row, Staud, Strathberry and Toteme was the WORST quality (upon feel). I don’t know why as their leather claims to be real high quality leather. Longchamp was the silent killer. I know about the nylon Le Pliage but their leather bags are scrumptious!

Comprehensive list of T-Lock bag flaws and poor quality
I gave mine to my sister and let me deinfluence you. 1. The turn lock is a terrible, cheap, screw like mechanism that will fall off. It happened within the first week, and my sister has already lost hers. It’s a horrible design. It also makes the bag annoying. 2. The bag fits quite a bit but not enough for how bulky it is. 3. It can only be worn cross body and the strap isn’t long enough. I don’t know why they didn’t put a top handle. 4. From your photo, you can see how wonky the flap can get. 5. This is absolutely not a bag that I feel has longevity. Corner wear is imminent and carefully check the stitching.

Short handle broke after 2 months, returned for refund
I just wanted to update everyone, after 2 months of use the short handle on my bag broke. A very sad ending for a bag I was completely obsessed with, returned and got a refund. Still on the search for a better quality bag with the same shape.
