Product Insights
Reviving the 1980s Vans Serio Competition shoe, the Suede Super Lowpro combines a suede and nylon upper, two-layer Sidestripe, and brogue-inspired details for a fashion-forward, lightweight silhouette. Its instant sock-like comfort and packable design make it ideal for casual wear, travel, and driving, while the removable OrthoLite footbed accommodates custom orthotics. Yet the narrow fit requires sizing up, and the thin sole, minimal arch support, and reported sole separation limit it to non-athletic use.

Thin soles for packable travel
But it looks like the soles on the Vans are thinner so they may pack lighter, I may check those out as well.

Comfortable out of the box for slightly wide feet
I just got a pair a few days ago. I’m a woman with a wider forefoot, average heel, slightly flat footed, with a more square foot shape. I found them roomy enough with some thin socks/liner socks on. They’re pretty comfortable out of the box. I went with my usual Van’s size.

Ballet slipper feel and sizing
I love them so much. They’re like way cheaper Onitsuka Tigers and they feel like a ballet slipper. Zero support, but maximum foot dexterity, great for sporty driving and sneaky tiptoeing. I’m wear M7/W8.5/EUR39.0 and they run very slightly shy of true to size. I would say the W8.5 fits like W8.4

Durability issues: soles ungluing after three months
I love the looks and feel, but after about three months of use, three or four times a week for casual wear to work, they are falling apart. Both soles are coming unglued from the back and some stitching is failing. I love Vans, and the look of low profile shoes like this, but I will Never buy these again. In contrast, Asics Tigers have lasted me years.

Fashion shoe, not for athletic activities
I wouldn’t, I mean yea they’re comfy but it’s like wearing a sock, they’re thin, and they can roll sometimes when you do athletic activities. I say they’re more fashion rather than anything else. But others can find another use.

Narrow fit requires sizing up
I had to go up half a size in them and someone I know had to go up a full size. They're a very narrow shoe so it would just depend on how wide your foot is for sizing. Looking at the website, it looks like anything larger than a women's 10.5 is sold out in the black and white but they should be making more, I think they underestimated how popular they'd be when they first dropped.
