Sure, there are brands that copy those techniques that sell for cheaper, just like when everyone was wearing the Zara Issey Miyake dupes, but its not really the same thing. Try ironing pleats into your cotton pants, or stitching it so the pleats holds longer. But at the end of the day, only you can decide if you can justify the price. My SO collects issey pieces, and you can find pleats pieces fairly often on places like TreFacs online store and the like.
