So for starters - get them off your bed and outside. put them in a plastic bag before and after cleaning to contain the spores. I can’t say that they will or won’t change texture in the wash - but I can say conclusively that if you keep them in the state they’re in the mold will continue to grow rapidly and spread spores all over your home. if you don’t want to risk washing them yourself maybe have them professionally cleaned. BUT there’s a reason this basket molded - I’d look into where the water came from so it doesn’t ruin other belongings of yours.
