Product Insights
The Simons Maison Black Toilet Brush offers an affordable alternative at $18 ($12.99 sale) to designer models like blomus SONO and Zone Denmark Sensu, trading the designer stamp for a taller 49.5 cm height that reduces stooping and a matte black finish that resists fingerprints. Its powder-coated iron base resists moisture but can chip if dropped, and the unvented holder requires periodic air-drying to prevent odor. The double-sided brush has identical scratch-safe bristles but no rim-specific design. A matching Square Drain Hair Catcher extends the set.
Verified claims
- Value
- At $18 ($12.99 sale), it costs a fraction of blomus SONO and Zone Denmark Sensu but lacks the designer’s stamp.
- Coating
- Powder coating on the iron base (typically 60-120 μm) resists bathroom moisture but can chip if dropped.
- Fingerprint resistance
- Matte black finish hides fingerprints and smudges, reducing visible maintenance.
- Material
- Iron/stainless steel/TPR/polypropylene; iron base powder-coated for rust; lighter/cheaper than ceramic; more chip-prone.
- Brush head design
- Double-sided brush head has identical flexible TPR bristles on both sides, and the manufacturer describes it as effective for general bowl cleaning rather than having a dedicated rim-scrubbing side.
- Height
- Stands 19.5 inches (49.5 cm) tall with a freestanding floor holder, 8–10 cm taller than designer models, reducing stooping.
- Coordinated set
- Matching Square Drain Hair Catcher extends the set in matte black silicone.
- Ventilation
- Holder lacks ventilation holes; periodic air-drying prevents odor.
- Cleaning performance
- Buyer opinion on cleaning performance is split: some say the flexible head scrubs thoroughly and reaches angles, while others find it too soft for heavy scrubbing.
- Modern style
- Buyers repeatedly describe the brush as sleek and modern, and the merchant positions its simple, elegant design as easy to pair with modern decor.
- Compact fit
- Several buyers find the brush compact and slim enough for narrow toilet bowls and discreet placement.
- Construction
- The handle and metallic structure are stainless steel, while the base is powder-coated iron; the bristles are TPR and polypropylene.
- Design provenance
- Simons Maison is the retailer's own in-house home brand; this toilet brush is a Simons Maison exclusive designed in Canada, reflecting house-originated styling rather than a generic import.
- Brush head size
- The exact brush head diameter is not published, but based on the 19.5-inch overall height, the head is approximately 3–4 inches across and fits standard toilet bowls comfortably.
- Finish care
- The matte black powder-coated finish can be permanently scratched by abrasive pads or strong toilet cleaners; only mild soap and a soft cloth should be used.

Quick daily cleaning for narrow or elongated bowls
According to customer reviews, this silicone toilet brush suits everyday quick-clean routines: the flat, flexible double-sided head slips under the rim and into tight curves where round brushes can't reach, which reviewers say especially suits narrow or elongated bowls. Its silicone bristles are reported to whisk away fresh soil easily and dry fast, resisting gunk buildup. Reviewers note it's less suited to heavy-duty jobs — the soft silicone may need extra passes or a separate stiff brush for stubborn limescale or hardened waste, and the flat design may miss the upper curve in wide, round bowls.[1]
A toilet brush that doubles as bathroom decor
In a modern, design-conscious bathroom, this matte black toilet brush's sculptural silhouette is sleek enough to sit out in the open, looking more like decor than a utilitarian cleaning tool. Shoppers mention it blends seamlessly into modern bathrooms, and the merchant describes its simple, elegant design as easy to pair with modern decor.[1]
Product comparison
Compared within this brand.
| Black Toilet Brush: Choose this if you want a freestanding toilet brush whose sleek matte-black, sculptural look blends into modern, design-conscious bathrooms — customers report it passes as decor rather than a utilitarian tool. Its flat, flexible silicone-bristled head slips under the rim and into tight curves, suiting narrow or elongated bowls and quick daily cleanups, and the silicone dries fast while resisting gunk buildup. Note that it's less suited to wide, round bowls, and the gentle silicone often needs extra passes or a separate stiff brush for stubborn limescale or hardened waste.[1,2] | Soft Handfeel Toilet Brush: Choose this if you want a compact, streamlined toilet brush (14.25 inches, or 36 cm, tall) with a modern, minimalist look — it comes as a two-piece set with a freestanding cylindrical matte holder and a matching handle in the same color and finish, made of resin, metal, and plastic. It suits shoppers who prefer a soft handfeel and a subdued taupe/pale beige tone, and the brush includes a pale beige circular splash guard disc and a dense, rounded black bristle head. Note that the smooth matte holder has a recessed top that conceals the brush head, so the bristles are not visible when stored.[3,4,5] | Oak Wood Toilet Brush: Choose this if you want an everyday toilet brush whose solid oak holder adds a warm, natural touch to the bathroom — customer reviews describe its finish as giving a surprisingly 'class' look. It stands 14.5 inches (37 cm) tall and reportedly fits discreetly beside the toilet, with black bristles that clean in depth while hiding dirt and a brush that holds up well over time. Note that the composition includes plastic (the handle is chromed plastic), and since each wood piece is unique, subtle grain variations are to be expected.[6] |

I like this brush not only because of its contemporary look but also the way the silicone end gets deep into the sides for extra cleaning. It’s also cost effective.

Beau design
Discret, la brosse est petite mais efficace
Satisfait par le produit
Très bon rapport qualité-prix, discret comme brosse.
Was looking forward to the simplicity of this toilet brush
Toilet brush is very simple looking but does not do a good job at all wonderful in aesthetics, but not in service

Enfin une brosse en silicone
Brosse qui nettoie bien et dans tous les angles. Sèche rapidement.

Upgrade
I like the design and the silicone (?) brush seems to work well. I don’t think it would work on every bowl style but it seems to work fine on mine.
Design Forward Toilet Brush
Great looking sleek toilet brush.
Trop molle
Très déçue. Cette brosse est vraiment trop molle. Elle plie dès que l’ont met un peu de pression. Il n’y a que le design qui est apprécié.
Discrete
Et elle fonctionne bien.
