I paid about $460 for it, plus another ridiculous percentage in customs fees. It was worth it though—it's the perfect event dress and I've never seen it second hand.

in real life the cut outs are really not as noticeable and the slip underneath is really quite thick and doesn’t really create the nude illusion as some implied here.

I've tried on a few styles from self-portrait like this one and they're very narrow in the hips and sizing up doesn't help much! Also a bit hard to walk in!

Mixed opinions on Self Portrait: quality vs synthetic materials
It used to be but it fell off a bit style wise and you don’t see as many celebs wearing it these days. I’ve owned a few pieces and they were high quality for the price. I stopped wearing synthetic fabrics a while ago so I sold the pieces I owned but would certainly buy again if they made more in silk, linen or wool.

Self Portrait runs extremely small, size up still didn't fit
Self-Portrait is beautiful but runs SO small. I bought a dress of theirs and sized up and I still couldn’t zip it.
